Want to meet other expansive people in Bend, Oregon?
Dillon Falls In Bend, Oregon
I’m Bruce Kasanoff, and Bend Reality is a community of people who have stumbled—or been guided—across my path.
My partner, Joan, and I host dinners in our home in which the sole goal is to bring together expansive folks who want to meet others who also lean towards love, creativity, expansion and openness.
There are no rules, expectations or hidden motives. When I meet an expansive person who seems open, I invite them to participate.
If we haven’t met yet, but you feel drawn to our community, please drop me a line.
All local dinner guests are also welcome in monthly Bend Reality gatherings I host online. These conversations include some of the most fascinating people I know around the world. A typical session includes about 10-15 people.

Comments from our community…
“I love what Bruce does with Bend Reality. He really spends the time preparing good questions and facilitates the kind of discussion you can’t get anywhere else. He manages to attract the most interesting people, all who have incredibly thoughtful viewpoints. Bruce is the master at dislodging you from your inbox and providing rocket fuel for more expansive thinking.”
—Dottie DeHart, Principal at DeHart and Company Public Relations
“Bend Reality serves as a grounding reminder of what should be most important to us all. It also serves as a catalyst that helps me tackle deeper issues, so that I can be the kind of person my loved ones need me to be.”
—Richard Bezemer, Founding Member, Mountain Towns 2030
“You provide such an invaluable gift with Bend Reality – you encourage all of us to see this complex world with a deeper, broader perspective by providing a safe space for people to share, be heard and acknowledged as we explore questions from you that go deep into our inner beings. It is what the world needs! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share the magic.”
—Monica Nester, VP & General Manager at Marisan Group
“Bruce has created a welcoming and supportive atmosphere in which we all have space to explore soul-provoking questions. Each call I find myself empowered and challenged as I listen and learn from others, while also being encouraged to share my own unique journey. I leave each call inspired, knowing that there is a community of like-minded people who strive to live expansively and refuse to settle in life.”
—Karen Schuyler, Strategic Programs at Intuitive
“I love the Bend Reality experience because I ‘need’ it more than I ‘want’ it. Our community nudges me to think and feel more expansively, when most people my age are flirting with retirement. My professional and personal lives are growing in the right ways, and I’m more fulfilled, because I’m not playing it safe.”
—Dr. Paul L. Corona, Leadership Development Professor and Director, Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management
“I am deeply grateful to be a part of Bend Reality. Bruce facilitates a community of extraordinary humans who inspire my curiosity and challenge my thinking with every encounter. Bend Reality has expanded the capacity of my heart and strengthened my belief in what is possible.”
—Paula Di Rita Wishart, Executive Coach

Who is this guy that’s inviting me to dinner?
I believe in enlightened self-interest: if you give without expectations, your life (and world) will get better and better.

About Bend, Oregon…
Twelve or so years ago, I gave a keynote speech at The Tower Theater in Bend. It was a wonderful experience—175 creative people in one space—but it took me about ten years until we decided to relocate to Bend, Oregon.
Surrounded by National Forest, blessed with the clean and reliable Deschutes River, Bend attracts vibrant, outdoor-oriented types. One site wrote that in Bend, Oregon, “everyone dresses to hike at a moment’s notice.”
We especially value Furnish Hope, Street Dog Hero, Paradox Strength, Epic Energy Centers, Mt. Bachelor, and Hayden Homes Ampitheater. Sparks Lake is also a true gem, if you can deal with the bumpy dirt road.
